We are incredibly proud of Ben Stringer, one of our very own local juniors whose journey through rugby league is a perfect example of how hard work, passion and community support come together.

Ben first pulled on a footy jersey with the Hawks as an 11-year-old in U12s and from that very first step he showed the talent and commitment that has carried him forward ever since.

From the Hawks, Ben earned selection into the North Sydney Junior Rugby League junior development pathway, progressing through U12s right up through U13s, U14s and U15s development squads. Over the years he continued to impress with his skill, leadership and determination.

In 2023, Ben was selected to represent the Bears in the Harold Matthews Cup playing against top competition and even earning Player of the Match honours in Round 1 as he led from the back.

Along the way, Ben also gained invaluable experience with the Melbourne Storm pathway program, attending their elite training camp alongside other rising stars, a real testament to his potential and work ethic.

⭐ Where Ben is at in 2026?

In 2026, Ben continues his representative journey with a spot in the Melbourne Storm SG Ball Cup squad, one of the key junior rep competitions in NSW where he lines up among some of the most promising young players in the game, playing at wing, centre and fullback.

Ben’s progression from a local Hawks junior, through Bears development teams, representative Harold Matthews footy and now SG Ball shows something truly special: from little things, big things grow.

We couldn’t be prouder to call him one of our own, keep an eye out for our local kid, he’s one to watch! 👀💪
